Often appearing in the teens or early twenties, keratoconus is a progressive eye disease in which the normally round cornea thins and begins to bulge into a cone-like shape. This cone shape deflects light as it enters the eye on its way to the light-sensitive retina, causing distorted vision. Keratoconus can occur in one or both eyes.I'm very shock when the first time my girlfriend told me that she had this kind of eyes disease. I surf the net to know the detail and i found that this disease had a cure. I actually found 7 treatment method to cure this disease:
no-surgical option
1; contact lense
for surgical option there are 6 method
1;Corneal_transplant
2;Corneal_ring_segment_inserts
3;Corneal_collagen_crosslinking_with_riboflavin
4;Radial_keratotomy
5;DALK_transplants
6;Epikeratophakia
